TorqueHammer Slip-on Muffler for 1125
Product Information
This is a well made quality stainless steel high performance muffler for 1125R and 1125CR series motorcycles. It is designed to run with a K&N Hi-flow Airfilter which you should purchase with the muffler if you do not already have one.
It comes with mounting instructions. They now come with the welds reduced and black powder coated. The More Images link shows the earlier stainless finish mounted to our bike. Where the pipe joins the headers on the unpainted version, the metal turns a gold colour to match the headers. Sanding back a bit of the black coating going down from the headers could give a nice effect. Similar to what is done on the stock muffler.
The muffler doesn't use packing and is maintenance free. The metal is thick and the construction is sound. It uses slip joints and not header gaskets and the whole unit is a clean precision fit.
This is a high performance muffler that needs to be tuned. A tune can be purchased from the Twin Motorcycles. Follow this link for details of the Twin Motorcycles Stage 1 kit. The tune can be delivered as an ECM as shown on the following link:

This system produces high torque from low revs, making the bike easier and smoother to ride. In the ASB shootout the TorqueHammer posted good gains in HP and torque, and performed well in all aspects covered by the report.
This muffler is for Race Use Only. It was one of the quietest mufflers tested in the ASB 1125 shootout, but like virtually all performance mufflers for the 1125, it is way too LOUD. This is particularly evident at idle. We are waiting for new dB killers that will make it suitable for use on noise limed race tracks.
